The competition for a diploma thesis

For the fourth time since 2016, AOMB Polska in cooperation with the University of Warsaw, UWRC and AIPEX European Connected, has an honor and a great pleasure to co-organize a competition for a diploma thesis with the highest commercialization or implementation potential. The competition enjoys considerable interest and is conducted in three categories – bachelor, master and a PhD.
The Competition Commission, during the assessment of the submitted works, mainly takes into account:
Relevance of the addressed issue and the economic benefits resulting from it:
– How much the solution described in the thesis changes the current state of art and knowledge?
– Does the result of the thesis improve the existing efficiency of solutions or propose a new solution that has not been applied so far?
– What will be the economic and / or social benefits of future implementation?
The level of advancement of the solution described in the thesis and the possibility of applying the results in practice:
– What are the currently available solutions to the described problem?
– Is it necessary to carry out many tests and analyzes for implementation, or whether the results of thesis are ready to be applied in practice?
– Already obtained patents / already filled patent applications / planned patent applications.
In the 4th edition of the Competition, which took place in 2019, the founder of the main prizes was our Law Firm, distinctions – Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Financial Policy of the University of Warsaw, prof. dr hab. Andrzej Tarlecki, and the founder of the special award – UWRC Sp. z o.o.

Matylda Izert – „Charakteryzacja wiązania RNA przez białko IFIT5 dla rozwoju zastosowań biotechnologicznych”.

Jakub Piątkowski – „Wymiana ligandów jodkowych w rutenowych kompleksach metatezy alkenów zawierających czwartorzędowe ugrupowanie amoniowe”.
The Competition Commission decided not to award a special prize in the form of a year of free pre-incubation at UWRC Sp. Zoo.
The ceremony of awarding the prizes to the winners was held on January 28, 2020 at Aula 00.142 building of the Center of New Technologies at the University of Warsaw at ul. S. Banacha 2C.
